How can I register on tokonda portal?
Enter the www.tokonda.pl website, click the "register Now!" button and fill out the form displayed. After this you will receive an e-mail with a activation link. Click on the link, and your account will be activated. Then you can start using tokonda.

Do I need to fill in all fields in the registration form?
Only highlighted fields are obligatory. Filling out the remaining fields will make it easier to find you in tokonda search engine.

Do I always have to type my username and password when entering tokonda main page?
If you don't want it, please check the "remember me" box. After this username and password fields will be automatically filled with your data.

Select "settings" item from tokonda's desktop menu and switch to the "password" tab. You can enter your new password there.

I forgot my password. How can I get it back?
Click on the "forgot my password" link on the main page (it is under the "login" button). Then enter your name and e-mail address in the displayed form. E-mail with your new tokonda password will be send to you after clicking the "send" button.

How can I change my personal data in tokonda?
Select "settings" item from tokonda's desktop menu and switch to the "main" tab. You can change your data there.

Which messaging protocols does tokonda support?
Currently, tokonda supports Gadu-Gadu, Tlen, Goggle Talk and Jabber protocols.

You can use setup wizard that starts automatically after your first login to tokonda, or select the "settings / account" tab in communicator window.

I have several Gadu-Gadu accounts. Can I use them simultaneously in tokonda communicator?
Yes, you can. In tokonda you can use all of your accounts at the same time, for example: account used at work and account used in private.

How can I add a new contact to my contact list?
Open the "contact" menu from communicator window ("guy with a star" icon), select "add contact" and fill out the displayed form. If your friend is using several protocols, you can add their IDs for each protocol selected from the list.

How can I delete a contact / contacts from my contact list?
Select contacts that you want to delete from your contact list (multiple selection enabled by pressing CTRL button). Then click the "remove selected contacts" item from contact menu ("guy with a star" icon).

Yes, you can. To do this, open the contact edit form (described above) and enter IDs for proper protocols.

How can I start a video conference?
Video conference can be carried out only between tokonda users. You can start it in two ways: by selecting the "camera" icon from the top panel in chat window, or by pressing the video conference item from communicator's menu.

Yes, you can. Select contacts that you want to make the conference with (holding pressed CTRL key) and click on the video conference item from communicator's menu.

I don't have any video camera. Can I carry out a voice conversation?
Yes, you can. All you need to carry out a voice conference is a microphone connected to your computer.

Does the tokonda communicator store the history of my chat conversations?
By default, tokonda communicator does not store the history of your conversations. To turn on this feature, check the "save chat history" option in the communicator's settings tab.

How can I remove my communicator accounts from tokonda, and my tokonda account itself?
To remove your communicator account, press the "change" button in communicator's window "settings" tab. Account will be removed after pressing the "remove" button in displayed form. To remove your tokonda account, select "settings" item from tokonda's desktop menu and switch to the "remove account" tab. Then press the appriopriate button.

How can I import my Gadu-Gadu contacts from file?
Select "import contacts" item from communicator's "contact" menu ("guy with a star" icon). Then put tick in "Import contacts from file" checkbox on Gadu-Gadu configuration page. The imported contacts list should appear after browsing to your file and pressing the "Open" button.

How can I add to the chat message a newline character?
Pressing ENTER in a chat window will send the message. Newline characters can be added to the message by pressing a SHIFT + ENTER combination.

How can I see long descriptions and other contact data?
Select the contact that you are interested in. On its right side you will see a business card icon. Selecting this icon will show you a tooltip with contact data: nick and IM protocols with descriptions. There are also references to contact data edition, removing contact and starting a chat or video chat with it.

How can I clear 'cache' memory in my web browser?
  • Internet Explorer - 'Tools' menu -> 'Internet Options' -> click the 'Delete Files' button on the 'General' tab in the 'Temporary Internet Files' section,
  • Mozilla Firefox - 'Tools' menu -> 'Clear private data'-> select 'Cache' option and click the 'Clear private data' button,
  • Opera - 'Tools' menu -> 'Delete Private Data' -> select 'Delete entire cache'checkbox and click the 'Delete' button,
  • Safari - Control + Alt + E, and then click the 'Clear' button,
  • Google Chrome - 'Options' -> tab 'Under the Bonnet', click on 'Clear browsing data' then select 'Empty the cache' and click 'clear browsing data'.

How can I use the "autologin to tokonda" option?
Select the "remember me" option on the main page and login to tokonda. Since then the autologin feature is available at http://www.tokonda.pl/autologin.

How can I set/change default status of the account after logging in?
In communicator's window select "settings", then on the "accounts", select this account which status you want to set. Then, after clicking "change" choose "initial state", that mean default's status after logging in and confirm by pressing "ok".

How invite to video call friend, who doesn't have tokonda account?
While talking with your friend by a protocol gadu-gadu (tlen, jabber etc.) on tokonda, click in the chat window in the upper panel on the icon 'camera', in this way will be automatically generated invitation video.

How to send a live avatar?
In a chat window on the bottom bar there is icon 'camera', after clicking on it in the editing window will appear your live avatar. Now each time if you send a message in a chat window will appear live-avatar next to your text. You can turn it off by re-clicking the icon 'camera'.

How to set an avatar?
In tokonda settings, accessible by entering the menu, next on the 'avatar' you can set a photo shoot done by camera, or import a picture from your computer. To save avatar setting confirm by clicking the button 'ok'.

I can't log in into my Facebook account on tokonda.
Probably you log in using your email address, properly you should use your facebook's username, which can be checked by visiting http://www.facebook.com/username/ or if you haven't already done it go to configure it in the 'Acount Settings' -> 'Username'.

How can I set my Gravatar on tokonda?
In tokonda settings, accessible by entering the menu, next on 'avatar' tab, in place 'Gravatar' please provide your e-mail or its hash, and then click 'Set'. How to use TOK2me to design a widget on your site?
On your tokonda desktop, click on the TOK2me icon. A new window will show up, in which you can configure the tokonda widget including nickname (it will be visible in TOK2me on your website). It looks similarly with the intro text. Next, set the TOK2me border color and the maximum number of simultaneous connections – it means how many people at the same time can write to you. If you want you can uncheck the function 'turn on', your TOK2me will have an unavailable status, but if you check 'turn on', TOK2me will show the current status of your tokonda account.
